On The Curb

Twin Walkers, Texas Rangers

May 30, 2009 · 6 Comments

In my blog absence, the twins have been burning up the pavement walking.  While both Gav and Gab chose to take up the bipedal lifestyle on their first birthday, Ethan and Alani were in less of a rush.  Miss Al’s been full-time on two feet for a month or so now and has already progressed to running.  Ethan has just decided that staggering with his legs spread wide apart is a viable option over jungle cat crawling on all fours.  Hearing these two sets of fleshy feet plodding around the house is quite adorable.  (and, i’m not one to throw around the word adorable lightly)

Enjoy some walking set to banjo-pickin’.  And, y’all come back now, ya hear?

Oh, my goodness, that is freaking adorable! (I do use the word ‘adorable’ with relative frequency…but I mean it every time!)

With Finn already progressing to a full on run, I have forgotten just how sweet those early steps are. They look like they’re going to be tough to keep up with!

And, as a side note, the banjo accompaniment made me feel like I was watching some really poignant commercial and was waiting for the voice-over to come on to say “don’t trust their feet to just anyone. Trust pediped.” Or something.

Yay! Now I know someone was actually able to see the video. I tried uploading directly to wordpress this time, and boy oh boy, it took 4evah. Soooo 4evah that I figured my little banjo pickin’ video would crash websites worldwide. Glad you could see it and supah dupah glad you found it adorable, CynthiaK. :-) I have no problem with frequent use of the word when someone means it.

Heh, love the voice-over comment. If I hadn’t burned the few brain cells remaining in my skull cap, I would have gotten craftier with some text or something there at the end. I’m still toying around with iMovie…when kids aren’t running in every direction.

    That is some serious cuteness.

So, how did you manage to hold the camera while plucking the banjo?

I think once they get rid of those giant wads of cotten between their legs they’ll lose that splayed walk thing — but it IS pretty adorable. What’s the boardwalk? Is that your front walk?

I wish that was my front walk. No, it’s this great nature trail at a nearby state park. They house injured hawks, vultures, and owls along the walk. You get to watch rats being devoured by vultures up close and personal. Very educational. Circle of life and all.

    (sorry for the tardy reply)
